About…

If you arrived down this page, you must be looking to get some more information about me and this website. So, first I would like to thank you for visiting this blog that I maintain to discuss about some of my life interests, thoughts and happenings with my family and friends. Grin

…me

I’m not very good at sharing my personal stuff and I actually think there’s not that much to be known about me… I’ll then make it short Disdain

My name is Philippe Da Silva, I’m 33 years old and I live in Paris, France.

I currently work as Internet Director for a French game development studio called Monte Cristo and we are currently fully dedicated to our next game named CITIES XL which is taking something around 90% of my time. Victory

My daily responsibilities are numerous and include for the most part managing online marketing, community management, CITIES XL companion website development and online gameplay. So far, this job is simply the one which I feel I suit the best because I’ve always been interested in many domains without getting to specialize: I like to have a wide understanding and knowledge and serve as the link between the specialists so they can better communicate and work together. High Five!

I’m currently unemployed and looking for a job ideally in the game industry.

More personally, I married Jennifer in March 2005 but live with her for more than 12 years. She’s a great person, very talented and pretty: I feel very lucky to have her near me day by day. Kisses to you dear Kissing

And we recently got a sun: Arthur, my King Male

…the blog

You might ask why I called my blog “From will to real…”. Question
The reason is quite simple… By nature, I’m a dreamer but I’m very passionate to make my dreams become truths.

For instance, I always wanted to work in the game industry and participate to the development of a great game which I think we have all achieved with Cities XL even if it didn’t get the success we intended.

I also think dreams are what makes us, human beings, different from the rest of the fauna: they move us forward and give us reasons to live. Without them and knowing we will someday die (and we are the only animal to realize that), our lives would have no sense. Silly

That’s why I think it is important to share our dreams with others so that they can see that with will and a lot of work, nothing is unachievable once you decided to make it become true. Wink

This blog objective is not to satisfy some kind of selfish narcissism but simply share that great feeling of moving on and trying to reach someone’s dream as well as how to eventually reach it…

I wish you a nice stay and do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,
Philippe Da Silva
